报告题目: Some recent results on the energy stability problem for semi-implicit methods in phase field models

Stabilized semi-implicit time-stepping method can efficiently simulate phase field problems involving fourth-order nonlinear diffusion, with typical examples like the Cahn-Hilliard equation and the thin film type equation. I will discuss a group of results on the energy stability for the stabilized semi-implicit time-stepping methods. Time permitting I will also mention some more recent progress.

报告人简历：

李栋，香港科技大学教授，在流体力学方程，色散方程的研究方面做出突出贡献，在Invent. Math, GFA，CPAM，JEMS等等发表多篇高水平文章.
